Green Bronx Machine’s mission is to build healthy, equitable, and resilient communities through inspired education, and local food systems, using a school-based model of urban agriculture. P168x and Green Bronx Machine’s new state-of-the-art classroom features a mobile kitchen and 4 aeroponic gardens that complement their outside garden giving them an impressive horticultural program. The program aligns the art and science of growing vegetables, ADL skills (Apative Daily Living skills) with daily academic instruction in all subject areas. This project-based learning experience helps students learn critical thinking and problem-solving as they explore, discover, and create their ecosystems. “Thank you, Ms. Fullerton and Bronx Green Machine for enhancing the educational experience of the students of P168x” said Mr. Sage STEAM teacher.
