Mission Statement

District 75 provides quality and rigorous individualized educational programs to students with significant challenges and diverse learning styles. The needs of students are met in a variety of settings that nurture independence, ensure dignity and support integration into the community.

District 75 Equity Driven Vision

District 75 is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion of every student, staff member, and family as demonstrated by:

  • welcoming, honoring, respecting, and affirming a diverse community across race, ethnicity, language, age, gender identity, sexual preference, religion, and ability
  • providing ongoing professional learning and forums to reflect upon personal beliefs and implicit biases through courageous conversations
  • supporting Equity Teams at the district and school level to examine data, curriculum, and practices in order to identify and disrupt inequities, resulting in equitable outcomes for all students
  • ensuring access to culturally responsive and sustaining instructional opportunities and materials to cultivate and enhance student voice, agency, and perspectives
  • maintaining rigorous academic and social emotional expectations for every learner in every classroom, to promote their active participation, inclusion, and citizenship across environments
  • empowering families with personalized guidance and learning opportunities, in their preferred language, to enable them to successfully support their children in achieving their goals
