The Office of Assessment and Accountability
The Office of Assessment and Accountability provides district-wide support around the areas of Assessments, Academic Policy, Accountability and Compliance, Data Management and Analysis, and IEP support.
Assessments
- Coordinates with schools for training, test scoring and proctoring of Standardized Assessments
- Coordinates with schools for training in administration and data analysis of Alternate Assessments
Academic Policy
- Governs operations of schools related to programming, grading, promotion and graduation, attendance, assessments, grades, program requirements, policies for special populations, student records and retentions
Accountability and Compliance
- Supports district with program services, NYSED CAP reporting, ESSA Accountability, Principal’s Compliance Checklist, Superintendent’s Determination of Graduation
Data Management and Analysis
- Provides the district and school with reports regarding student demographics, transition, outcomes, budget and placement
- Manage and govern data regarding ATS class management, STARS school programming and SESIS compliance
- Provide district and school level supports around leveraging insights from data systems and reports to make strategic and data based decisions
- Evaluate and analyze district initiatives
IEP Support
- Liaises as a district point of contact for IEP related communication
- Provides administrative staff, school-based IEP coordinators and teachers with training on policies regarding IEP writing
