Karen Anderson

Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Over the past 43 years as an educator, Karen Anderson has had the privilege and pleasure of a professional journey of fulfillment within Early Childhood, Inclusion, Special Education, Mentoring, AIS, Teacher Development and Teacher Effectiveness. Seventeen years ago, she came to District 75 by way of the NYC Leadership Academy. The years as a teacher and administrator have defined her both professionally and personally. As the District 75 Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, she supervises and works with twelve office teams of administrative and pedagogical specialists who provide high level instruction, professional development and supports for students, staff and parents. Her passion for education is always driven by a commitment to provide high level access and opportunity to culturally, ethnically, linguistically and ability diverse populations of students.
